Processing 100 requests, each sending 1,000 input tokens and receiving 200 output tokens. Input cost: 100,000 tokens / 1,000,000 * $0.25 = $0.025. Output cost: 20,000 tokens / 1,000,000 * $1.00 = $0.02. Total for 100 requests: $0.45.
Interactive chat session with streaming
A user sends a 5,000 token prompt and receives a 4,000 token response. Input cost: 5,000 / 1,000,000 * $0.15 = $0.00075. Output cost: 4,000 / 1,000,000 * $0.50 = $0.002. Total cost per request: $0.00275.
High-volume code generation with retries

Token Rates
Our pricing is straightforward and transparent. We charge based on the actual volume of text processed, distinguishing between what you send and what we generate.
Input tokens are billed at $0.15 per 1 million tokens. Output tokens are billed at $0.50 per 1 million tokens. This rate structure reflects the higher compute cost of generation compared to processing your input.
There are no hidden fees for streaming, JSON mode, or function calling. If a request fails due to a network error or returns a refusal, those tokens are not counted against your balance.
Prepaid Credit
You load funds once, and they last indefinitely. Unlike monthly subscriptions that expire or expire your unused balance, our prepaid credit never expires. You can top up whenever you need more capacity.
Your API key draws from this balance in real-time. Because we bill per token, your usage can never exceed the amount you have already loaded. This makes forecasting costs simple: if you have $10, you know exactly how many tokens that buys you.
Errors are free. If you send a request that results in an error or a refusal, you are not charged for those tokens.

A prepaid balance eliminates the risk of surprise bills. Since Ornith is an uncensored LLM API designed for developers who want control, we avoid the complexity of metered billing or minimum commitments.
You pay for what you use, when you use it. There are no monthly fees to maintain an active account, and no penalties for leaving your key idle for weeks. When you are ready to build again, your existing balance is still there.
This model is ideal for projects with variable traffic, testing phases, or long-running jobs where you want to cap your maximum spend at the amount you initially loaded.

Do I need to pay a monthly fee to keep my API key active?
No. There are no monthly fees or subscription costs. Your API key remains active as long as you have prepaid credit. The credit itself never expires, so you can top up and return whenever you need to.
How much does it cost to use the API?
Input tokens cost $0.15 per million tokens, and output tokens cost $0.50 per million tokens. Errors and refusals are charged at $0.00. There are no other fees for features like streaming or JSON mode.
What happens if I send a request that fails?
If your request results in an error or a refusal, you are not charged for the tokens used in that request. You only pay for successful completions and tokens that are actually processed.
Can I get a refund if I overpay?
Credit is not refunded. However, if you experience a mistake such as a double charge, you can fix it through our Support page. Your balance will be adjusted to reflect the correct amount.
